Building a real community of Makers and Activists to bring the idea of Open Source into the analogue world in form of an initial event: the Makerplatz – a celebration of of Making, Collaboration and Co-Production to unite, highlight, and catalyze Berlin’s Maker Community.

Makerplatz is a place where you can come and learn how to make things, events, a good stuff happen. Where ideas, knowledge, skills in form of workshops, discussions and performances around making, crafting, gardening, street art, sewing, hacking are shared. Gathering around 100 activists and numerous participants, doing about 40 workshops, hosted by planet modulor, betahaus, prinzessinnengärten, Etsy Labs & Berlins over- and underground around Moritzplatz.

Coordination of workshops and events for the Makerplatz festival at September 30st & October 1st, together with Jay Cousins from ODC/Makerlab. Development of a creative communication strategy together with Kay Strasser. Implementation of flyer artwork, website, a mobile infobox and live documentary performance with various creatives, programmers and activists. All of this within a timeframe of 15 days.
